I bought 4 of them today lol. We do a lot of surf casting on the Coast so I might grab a couple more to cover our bases.

I've had a couple of Frosts for many years, also made in Sweden.. as I remember, purchased in tackle shops for about $7. Easy to sharpen, hold an excellent edge. Name: 20231213_184834.jpg

Exactly. The sheath quadruples their value.

Good advice. Although in the case of the Bahco I think a bastard file would be quite appropriate. https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/basta...%20very%20fine.

    Lathe chisels/gouges?

Pretty difficult to cut a hollow grind with an oil stone HJ.

Back on point it’s not hard to change a scandi grind or flat grind to a hollow grind and make them a bit quicker to sharpen.

I bought two from farmlands today. they have orange handles but farmlands website have them advertised with green handles and scabbard.
I'd love to get my hands on the bacho 2449 wrecking knife, looks like a good bush knife. Unfortunately no one in NZ sells them.

The listing on their website stating green handles put me off so I grabbed mine elsewhere, unfortunately at a slightly higher price.
