    I have a Tatonka Lastenkraxe

    Squeaks like a motherfucker

I use a set of stretchies to hold a Vaude rolltop waterproof bag on it and my daypack

Really comfortable and you can scale the weight up or down depending on what you want also what no-one else has said so far, they are a great fireside camp seat

Still squeaks like a mofo though

Packs are such individual things that you've just gotta see what works for you but yeah I like my Lastenkraxe

Lol son of a bitch more squeaky my 90-10 squeaks like hell as well annoys the shit out of me if I wasn't concentrating on not dyeing most the time it would definitely remove the little sanity I have left .
Love the seat thing had not thought of that!
I really like the idea of being able to chop and change the attached packs like you say with proper waterproof bags and the fact I can chuck a chilli bin on it and fishing gear or outboard motor or what ever it seems very versatile. Thanks for your experience bud.

What about one of the American systems and a load shelf? I've got a kuiu. It's pretty damn good. Hell of a lot lighter than a tatonka too.

I had a Lastenkraxe when I was possum trapping, great bit of gear. The pack sack I think it's called that just slips over the top and then velcro on is actually pretty good,I used it for my main pack for a while. As mentioned it does sqeak like 2 rats going at it which can be frustrating when hunting. I did think about spraying some silicone grease or the likes on the frame to stop the noise but never got round to it
