Apologies @Pixie Z, thought I had replied, but then apparently did not.

We use the Opalus for 99% of our tent trips, Its just much nicer to have a full enclosure (especially with in regions with sandflies).

Its vestibule is big, and we can have all our gear inside the tent. In case of an emergency it could sleep an additional person, and certainly works for a dog. Occasionally if it was very cold or raining, we even prepared our meals inside. The only issue with that is that the inner tent could be a bit taller, I cant sit upright in there. In the vestibule its fine.

The tent itself is not too heavy when considering its size, although I wish i had taken the nylon variant for a bit of weight saving. But, it packs rather large (compared with other lightweight tents like the cloud-up), and reckon for a single person its way too big. To be shared by two people its ideal.

Finding a flat spot big enough is indeed a bit of an issue, especially since that type of tent can not stand upright on its own, it needs to be anchored, but so far we have always succeeded in finding a spot that worked.
