    Checkering tools

    Anyone know where i can get my mits on some tools?.. Just watched old Larry Potterfield do a nice checkering job on a new Midway USA Youtube clip.
    got me thinking i could spruce up my Ruger pretty easily.

    I saw Larry do it to and thought I can do this found them saw the price of the set and went nah. Good luck and show pics!

    Dem-Bart Master Checkering Kit will run you about 65 USD from the states ~20 NZD to ship with NZ Post so call it 100 NZD for a complete set up.

    Any firearms shop can get them for you .The importers are the same people who bring in hornady nosler etc etc .

    I have a dembart kit here, bought it to do some checkering on a stock I had planned to make (which hasn't happened & I've sold the gun)... You cn have it for what it cost me, $70 from memory...

    If DHS doesn't want it I'll buy it, PM me I've got some cheap stks to practice on.

    I believe you can make checkering tools from riffler files.
