    Compact Rain Jacket

I have my main rain jacket but want something thats tiny and packable to add to a bumbag. For when you’re fairly sure it won’t rain, but just in case.

Looking at Macpac Pack-it, on special too. Anything else worth a thought?

stoney creek stowits, I don't hunt with anything else now and just use that with merino and wool layers underneath
big rain jackets are to heavy and get to hot

One of the advantages of the Stoney Creek Stowit, is when packed into it's pocket, there are a couple of belt loops, so it doesn't need to go in your bumbag. Be aware it is a just a noisy plastic bag with arms and a hood though, I have one for my belt kit regardless, because it ticks the "just in case" box without taking up space or being heavy.

Yep, what Blisters said. I don't find it too noisy in wet bush (which is the only time I wear it in the bush).

@Blisters, @257weatherby, @A-Bolt thanks for that. It looks fairly similar to the Huntech jacket I have tho. Not particularly light or compact looking. Just from what I can see tho..

I just wish that the Creek crosser version which is longer and goes down over your backside was more readly available.

I got a bluefield waterproof poncho off aliexpress for $15, weighs bugger all, does actually keep ya dry, can wear day bag under it, doubles as a fly.
