    R93, You may find it just needs compression rings in the last stage. Unfortunatly my 1960`s English compressor dosn`t have compression rings so unless I can find someone prepared do fit a set and grove the piston its pretty well over for it.

    Try an outfit called Ash Air I think they have a branch in Nelson.

    You could be right mate. But it is pretty old and is very hard to get the charcoal filters for.
    I would feel safer using a newer one anyway.
    Thanks for the heads up on Ash air I'll give them a call.

    You can re fit any of the new filter assembly's if that is the only thing wrong if you feel comfortable doing it.like any thing with high pressure lines and swagelok it will cost $$. if you are going to buy a new one stick with the Bauer compressors, I have had a good run out of mine.most others like coltri and a few others in the 3 -5cfm dont seem to last.there are many compressor gurus on the deco stop if you need more info.
