Thread: Garmin Fenix 5X vs Fenix 3HR

I recently went from the Fenix 3HR to the 5X, I did it purely for battery life during Ultramarathons as the 3HR would die after about 11-12 hrs where's the 5X goes 30+hrs. Battery life day to day is about the same.

I think the 5X isn't a great leap over the 3HR, probably not worth the extra, but you can put different watch faces on it which will solve your problem. I noticed while running the 5X senses when you're looking at it and lights up automatically for a few seconds, handy.
