I have several Rino 650s.
Batteries last a good couple of days if your not on the radio all the time.
I also have the lighter socket charger and can recharge in the field from a small 12v battery or accessory socket on the quad.
My mate has the AA pack but has never had to use it yet, but it is a good back up option if your planning a long trip.
I'm also sure you can get a small solar charger too.
The radio works great, distance is obviously affected but the terrain but I have found it to be very good.
The note sending option is bloody great for silent communication.
Navigation through the screens is easy as and they work well in heavy bush and difficult terrain.
If you purchase one put a screen protector on it before you go bush and it will last for ever.
I also purchased the earphone with boom mike. This works great for hands free communication.
I like them.......... A lot.
Cheers
Pete
