I’ve managed to drop over a kilo of gear just from a couple of simple upgrades.
The standouts on my last few trips are a Neve gear down quilt. Much much warmer than the higher rated domex halo it replaced but half the weight.
Macpac nitro top. Stupid light and warm.
Couple of items come to mind, that tend to live together on the outside of my pack.
Sitting-height folding shooting sticks. (Think tent-pole style joints, release and shake to deploy)
Made impossible shots possible, more times than I can count. Perfect for tussock country, shooting up, down, or across steep hillsides.. anywhere really.
Second is cheap aliexpress fold-out sitting pad. (Widesea brand) Weighs in at a massive 48g on the kitchen scales. Don’t always take it along in summer, but if expecting to be sitting and glassing on wet, cold, snowy, or rocky ground, it’s just perfect. Also doubles as a doormat of sorts for the tent, keep your socks off the ground when adding/removing boots.

Their footprint fits perfectly in the back of most vehicles with a cargo space, and they make a completely leak-proof container for your muddy gear, dead animals, paint and oil containers etc.
I've been using one for about a year and loving it. I can just toss whatever I want in there and not worry about leaks. If something does leak, just pull the tray out and hose it down and you're good as new. Only downside is that stuff tends to slide around in them a bit more.
You can get an IBC for free if it's damaged, or $10-$40 for a used one without the cage that hasn't had something poisonous in it, and you can make two trays out of them depending on how you cut them.
Cut it at least 10cm+ tall to keep things contained and not sloshing over the sides. 20-30cm is probably better. You can cut it equally on all sides as a tray, or all the way to vehicle internal roof height on three sides, and leave the fourth low for access through the back of the vehicle.

Just scanning, do want the forehand securing them when actually shooting, but good luck making a decent shot from that angle otherwise!
Clothing wise has to be these firstlite Kiln Hoodies, great all year round on the hill and down town. Pricey but they take a hiding for merino.
