    Tait radios are type tested. The imported cheapos arent.
    Programmable isn't the issue. It's the radio spectrum they work on and whether the radios are dual band etc.
    NZ PRS uses a very narrow band. Unless you hold a amateur radio licence you wont be able to use most of the channels or bands. Programming the radios you can turn off the channels you can't use etc.
    You can get any radios type tested though, costs are astronomical!!! Try 5 grand for size!
    Just gone through it as we have imported some radios for race radio in the car and pits.
