    hunting escentuals

I was wondering what are some of the things people take into the bush on a day hunt that they wouldn't go without

    for example i take

    .243
    GPS
A few first aid items (bandage's survival blanket)
    knife
    water
    muesli bars
    spear ammo
    warm gloves
    micro spikes
    loo paper

I find a rifle is handy when hunting

But on a more serious note -what are micro spikes?

String and something to start a fire with are handy
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

I have both rushy do I get bonus points ? . No bick lighter on string around neck , always dry and can't loose .can be used for obvious starting fire , but main use is to use to see where breeze/ wind going in the bush . ( essential in the Roar )

Insulation tape...tape up twisted ankle, use to hold wound dressing in place, stop gunk entering barrel of rifle, fix up that broken stock, stop buckles and swivels clinking, stop socks sliding down into boots, use to hold gag in place for whinging mates...many many uses...wouldn't be without a roll in by day pouch.
Which is worse, ignorance or apathy...I don't know and don't care.

Those micro spikes look useful. Where did you get them? Are they as light and compact as they look?

compass, beanie ( if your not already wearing one) and an extra warm top
the micro spikes look like they could be quite noisey in the bush.

looks like its all covered except for a 'whistle'....a real one! and a small lightweight torch, the SAR helicopter can see a small torch light from 4K away using thermal night vision equipment!

I dont think I would trust those Mirco spikes as they look like they are held on by the rubber bands only...
