Not often will Leupold risk getting a bad name posted all over the net from gun mad and leupold loving americans with something with the Gold Ring so for 1150 surely it has to be not bad. Wait and see i suppose

Leupold have dared in the past releasing some rangefinders which were not up to scratch. Probably made ( with components?) from third party in Asia.
They are an optical company, and at optics they are doing pretty well. The electronic side of things is where my concern is.
