    Lowa vs Crispi

Hi team, in the market for a new pair of boots. Had a pair of Lowa High Country EVO GTX, which I liked until a rat decided to chew through them to the point of no return. The Lowas were great, but not sure if they were the perfect boot. I quite like the look of the Crispi Nevada Legend GTX (minus the price tag).

Keen to hear people's experience with either, or alternatives more broadly. I need a stiffer boot as most hunting is out on the tops or in alpine conditions. Cheers

Interesting little fact I saw a couple of weeks ago. Always wore Lowa and Meindl boots and brought a pair of Crispi this year.
The best boots I've ever worn i went away hunting or culling to CNI and had another 7guys and organiser staying at a hut together
Every one had Crispi boots I was shocked.

Crispi were too narrow for me. (Spend a shit load of time in bare feet)
Gave them to dad and he loves them.
Lowa gtx (wide) are the business for me

Got some Salewa Rapace to replace my Lowa. Pretty happy so far. Plenty stiff and can take semi auto crampon. Could deal

Yep I run these, have nearly worn the souls out with use but reckon I can get another 18months out of them

Crispi Titan GTX - Phenomenal boots, extremely rugged and I do some long miles. At the end of the day my feet actually feel good.
Definitely worth the price tag and highly recommended.

I looked at crispi and lowa, both were comfortable but the crispi was just that little bit better.

One thing I will say, crispi has its ankle support system that kind of grips around it, it feels like it should rub and blister, freaks me out every time I put them on. But I've done a fair few kms with wet feet, dry feet, under load and it's never been an issue.

I'm using Crispi Dakotas, they're my first pair of Crispi boots and certainly won't be my last as they are just so comfortable

I converted to Crispy a while ago but found the nz sizing was to narrow for my custom insoles so was importing them from the usa.
The company i was buying them though has now stopped trading but they have a new boot available locally thats apparently much wider then the standard range.

the other one im going to try is the hanwang alverstone, its a similar boot to what i ise in the crispy line up.

Good to know, seems to be the consensus. Both good boots, but Crispi appears to top the Lowas in comfort. My last pair of Lowas were good, but a total dog to break in. Took a couple of bigish trips to get them matched to my foot

How have people found the sizing of the crispis. There's no local stockist around Dunedin, so I might have to do the unthinkable and buy boots online. What's the toe box like etc?
