    Maptoaster for gps

Does any one know if the new maptoaster series provides better track info etc for hunters than the free AU and NZ topo 2014 sd card that was supplied with my new garmin gps?

I would say it is very likely better. I like mine, a lot.
But I hate the PC version

Cool, i havent used the new unit in the bush yet but looking at the map installed the tracks and hunting info doesnt look as good as what I had before.
Toastmaster says that the tracks etc that we are interested in are much clearer. Next question is where is the best place to get it?

Take a look at Mr Purples maps on TM. Maybe not what your after but he loads all topo maps onto it plus heaps of extras like DOC hunting boundaries etc.
Just purchased one for my new 64s

Anyone got any thoughts about Freshmap? Better than Maptoaster? Worse?

I have used freshmap as my go to computer based software for a fair while and find it much more user friendly than maptoaster.
The gps version is much of a muchness though. As far as day/night goes, I switch my 64s to daylight settings only.

It sure is. Another little tip I was told is to turn OFF shaded relief. This makes the map brighter and much easier to read
