    MSR Hubba nx solo

    Hey team.

I recently picked up the above tent fly and poles for a steal. I bought it from a guy that moved from the uk, and sometime during the move the actual tent part went all tacky so he binned it.

I bought this after reading that the fly and poles could be used independently of the tent if the correct footprint could be bought.

I thought this would make a nice lightweight semi fly camp option.

Looking online I can see the universal solo footprint, but it doesn’t look like it has the clips to hook the poles into to keep them tight.

Has anyone got one of these footprints that can confirm or deny this? Or deos anyone have a similar setup and found another option?

    Cheers

I have the pre NX / Carbon version of the Hubba.

The footprint I have has similar grommets on straps, just like the ones on the tent and fly portion. The ends of the pegs clip into that. So you can pitch it with just the fly and footprint, or add the inner as well.

Not sure if that makes sense in terms of what you have ?

Yeah that’s what I’m after with the grommets for the poles to hook into. Is your footprint msr? Or another brand?

Sweet yeah that’s exactly what I am after. It looks like the universal MSR ones for sale ($80ish) only have the string not the grommets.
