I’ve got a pr of LOWA boots and work boots, fitted with grip studs,
same as the link posted by Happy jack, had them in since September. Still going, also several of us up here in Canada Nacg site, have them in our winter work boots,
they install them in motor bike tyres, for ice racing,
This is a great solution, for a bit of extra bite, with the boots in Icey or slippery conditions,
I’ve got the simms ones in a set of wadering boots, good but a bit noisy on the rocks.

I haven't used these nor have any affiliation but saw them trialled by one of the hunting mags and thought could be a good idea.
Heck those look the go, I have a pair of Salomon GTX boots that I've worn most of the tread off but they're still a solid boot.
These studs should give them a bitnof life again

Living in the top of the south I don't really have a need for the studs.

We tried shearing cutters screwed into in-step of our Ashley’s once, but they were quite thin cutters and because they’re tempered so hard they snapped when crossing rivers. Maybe new cutters might be ok.

Back in the day we used Pony Plates and horseshoe nails. Always carried spare nails & PP/ to replace the worn down & broken PP ones.

I tried screws once, and that worked well enough too, but they rip out after a while.

Same. Trick done by Gerry Newman a pro possum contract hunter. His partner is Anne Peart daughter of the great Cliff Peart. Brian Conroys book on Peart is easily one of the best of the venison era.
