    Buy an iPad, just remember it won't completely replace a regular computer so she'll still use yours now and then.

    From how he descibed her usage it will absolutley replace a regular laptop.

    I cant remember the last time I used my laptop, or full sized iPad for that matter.

    I have an Iphone 5 and a Ipad, kindly supplied by work, I hate the things. Give me back my old Nokia any day.

    That's all most people say they use the internet for, reality is often different. I hardly use my iPad since I got an iMac, and before I got that I still used my laptop for iTunes, photo management and downloading etc. Different strokes I suppose!

    The apple stuff is dumbed down too much. Completely lacking the advanced configuration available in the other OS's. Have set enough of them up to know I do not want one. For email, searches, ... pretty much anything worthwhile you really need a proper keyboard, even my phone has one.

I work with geeks that have nothing in their lives but smart phones, tablets and computers, they drive me nuts, I don't want to know every time there's an earthquake, who's playing every song on the radio, talk to my phone to take photos, know what the forecast is 3 yrs out, Tune my motor bike from the smoko room, spend all day on Facebook it goes on and on and on aaaaarrrrrggggghhhh BUY An APPLE! Steve Jobs the man that changed the world for the better!

    Jobs was clever allright. He convinced a huge chunk of the population to own something essentially the same as everyone elses, when people were busy trying to be individuals.
