As it says, I’m in the market for some new gaiters. Has anyone tried the mountain high brand? Specifically the silent series as canvas in the bush is far too noisy.

I have used at least 6 brands and Huntech does it for me!
for silent and robust. On my 3rd pair over 30years, all huntech.
I see they have a new range but the heritage look to be the same.
Other brands work but noisy in matagaouri.
Mountain High make quality gear. Havent seen their gaiters for a couple of years, but if theyre still the same as the ones I have, they will last for years.
You all may laugh but for many years I have used horse leg bandages, I cut them in half as they can be quite long, if it is really wet I can put a plastic bag on first, of course all your mates will make neighing sounds when you are wrapping them on but I have had a mate who twisted an ankle several hours from the hut and he thought it was a Godsend that I had them to wrap his foot...the other thing is they are a fraction of the cost of gaiters.
For hunting I use fleece puttees for snowgrass etc I use SAR supplied Cactus ones which are very robust.
Happy Jack.
Thanks for the replies so far. I currently have sea to summit gaiters which I hand stitched fleece over for less noise. They have been great for over 10 years but am looking for a pair I can buy without having to stitch anything onto myself this time.
Yep I have the Bushbuck ones too. They have the soft, quiet material stitched on the outside already. They seem quite robust and deal well when walking through spaniards etc to stop the worst of the prickling.
Kuiu - lightweight, robust, silent, you don’t even notice you have a pair on
Ive got the Kuiu and also rate them. Has anyone used Twin Needle Putties? Thinking of a smaller option
I have the shorter Bushbuck ones, fleecy outer etc. Work well, but I find them very hot and sweaty. I probably should have gone for the canvas ones and "wear" them in until softer. I have heard very good reviews of the Mountain High ones.
