    New Jacket... Macpac Copland?

In the market for a new jacket. Have used a huntech jacket for years but she's a bit leaky. Tried one of theacpac Copland on today. Ticks a few boxes. Pretty light midweight, not to scratchy and nice and long.
Any one used one? Any other suggestions for a not shit not super heavy jacket?

Yeah Nick I've had one for 3 years its a great Jacket with the longer length as I wear shorts.
Only used for hunting not everyday on farm but very happy with it, haven't got wet and worn it in some rough weather.
I brought it to replace a top of the range Kuiu Jacket and its been far superior.

I've had a Resolution for years and it has been a good jacket. Out in some heavy rain today and stayed dry.

Ive also got the Resolution and like it as well. I think the Copeland is a longer cut and maybe a slightly heavier material but not 100% sure

That jacket is probably better than the Swazi Wapiti coat I bought for $700 and for that price you would think every thing works but I still have trouble with starting that zip to do the zip up . Next time I will go to another brand as I think Swazi is over priced.

The 2 way zips are almost always niggly. I hate them

I have a copland. 180 on special in olive green. Better than all the hunting brands. Have started to go away from the hunting brand gear and buy just general outdoors kit. As a rule half the price and weight. The worst jacket i ever owned have been the two huntech jackets. One Fell apart and the other leaks like a sieve.

I have an old Macpac Zealot, short jacket and the cheaper option to the Prophet. Its a climbing jacket but on 15 years old and it now leaks slightly but I still wear it around home.

I have the shorter Macpac jacket the, Dispatch. I too hunt in shorts, but don’t like jackets hanging down onto my legs. Anyway, I have put it through some nasty conditions and thrashed it and it’s still going strong. It’s lightweight and great for layering. Trampers have been doing it better and smarter than hunters in many fields of equipment for a long time now. The tramping market is very competitive so you can get some great deals on decent kit.

Take it back, my first Resolution jacket had a bung zip that I needed to actually climb out of the jacket first couple of times I used it, took it back and they replaced it with a new one.
