    seen the info on the ascent packs I would stick to the K2 Jungle pack in North Island bush -- that ascent is just to tall more suited to open country

    It will be ok now Im only 5' upright and mostly stooped another 2". Used to be 5'11" in my prime.

    Later: seriously though, Im not in the really thick bush much. That pic is the thickest trees I get into nowadays and it's pretty open underneath. It's just the share slogs that have been bothering me. A lot of them in clear country but steep up hill for the likes of an hour or so. And SI tussock. A bit more comfort would be nice. I guess its like transiting from the old hard sofa to a lazy boy.
