Hunters element core leggings and lightweight shorts. In the bush , no gaiters really needed. Add canvas gaiters for alpine / scrub.
Then hunters element atlas pants for rain or wet bush in the morning.
Good lightweight set up and works in winter / summer.

Suggest you join NZDA as those $350 Swazi trousers drop to $272 with NZDA discount

I have several taslan fabric pants from ESS. During summer a pleasure to wear.
Not sure if they would hold up in the rough stuff like monkey scrub.
ESS is a great company to deal with - genuine people!

Mickey duck is right the old Adidas track suit pants were the bees knees the lasted well- were stretch and quiet - super comfy and dried quick - one type never buy again and thats those horrible swazi dri backs have all sorts of swazi but those noisy sweaty uncomfortable- a nasty rash waiting to happen yuk- really rate their swazi micro pants tho as a go to hunting pants dry quick light great

Nope, they are not very noisy but this is a personal opinion, don’t quote me on that.

Did a quick comparison with jeans fabric. Not much difference!

The best pants are stubbies, weigh bugger all and only need 1 pair, Look cool and pull the birds!

I'd fully recommend the Earth Sea Sky Katipo pants. They're pricey, but well worth it! Windproof, but light and stretchy material, minimal lining so dries quick and you won't overheat (if cold chuck thermal pants on underneath). Always awesome customer service from this great NZ made company. Got a pair of Taslan shorts which are mint too.

Best pants i’ve used so far are Kuiu. Super comfy, not restrictive at all with full mobility, lots of options to pick fabric/weight combo to suit your needs. Downside, price.
