That is true but I just used to wear what was on hand I used to alternate between my old pair of work boots which had bugger all ankle support and those hiker style boots you get from the warehouse to be honest I don't think a high end hunting boot will save your arse from a twisted ankle, and I am not about to get into a debate over me twisting an ankle while wearing them all I will say is that I had a bit of ground give out from under my foot while coming down a steep bit of ground but had the ankle support not have been there it would have been worse no one else was around to see what happened so I just can't be buggered getting into an argument over it.
