Everything is made in the third world. Macpac have some good deals on their distance stuff. I would stay away from the hunting stuff with the fuzzy outer layer as it's just too heavy. I have a spare once worn techniflex jacket that i would sell cheap if you are interested. I brought a xxl then decided i need a xxxl cos fat.

If a jacket with a "fuzzy outer layer" is waterproofed properly there's no reason for it to get heavy, just spent four days in South Westland in basically non stop precipitation, never took my Tahr off and was nice and dry the whole time, take it off and give it a shake and its dry as and stayed in my tent with me at night
