    Ridgeline tripod

Purchase one of these a couple of weeks ago in Canterbury from new. Branded Ridgeline - used as a rifle rest with tripod trigger release for height adjustment. Plus can fit a spotting scope/camera.

Just had the rifle rest part at the top come apart - the plastic fitting cracked? And before taking into the field - was resting my rifle on the rest and swivelling but felt far too loose! Now i know why.

Anyone else familar with these tripods? For $189.00 retail would have expected a stronger product - though was the last one as shop display. Apparently selling well?? Will be returning to the shop shortly.

Any feed back appreciated if you own one?

Dunno, haven't tried but shot it out to 500 yards prone over some long tussock without any trouble.

Lots of stuff on you tube about them from Aussie and the states.
Experience. What you get just after you needed it.

I got it to use sitting on steep faces as I have a set of shooting sticks that I hate with a passion I like the tripod can set it up on the steepest ground for a good solid rest.

I got a carbon innorel from aliexpress that was a little pricey but is super stable and has a good weight capacity. Goes plenty high enough for standing shooting too. Am just deciding whether or not to get a plate so I can put a bag on top or get one of the clamp style mounts then every rifle is compatible

Ridgeline, Stoney Creek, Hunters Element, Bushbuck et al. All the same shit with a different label. Avoid disappointment and buy something decent at the get go.

The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds
