Have the cactus one on a macpac cascade. It works, have to be aware of buttstock sticking down low, doesnt hit legs when walking. Bit of a knack to taking pack on and off. It pays to pack your pack with a weight balance on mind or you end up walking in circles

I'll be getting the cactus one shortly. It fits on a variety of different packs and got a good amount of adjustment. My markhor pack has the ability to have the rifle on the back but it pulls the weight a long way off your body and feels odd.
Like 223nut said getting your pack balance right is important so its not too heavy on one side. Does make life nicer on the long walks in or out not having the rifle over your shoulder.
Geology is mostly physics slowed down, with a couple of trees stuck in it.
