Yeah, mine usual wear one but have taken to using lens covers when scope fits nicely inside the canvas wrap (only some rifles)

Have found scabbard useful for when doing a short trip with two rifles, can carry one on shoulder that you expect to use (17hmr for hares) and so ethi g else wrapped up for longer shots where you have time to set up (308 for deer)
