Thread: SCALPEL FOR HUNTING ?

    Hunted with a guy who had a duel blade Folding knife. Standard 5" blade for the normal work and a little replaceable scalpel blade which he used for the fine work. ie clearing around the ass etc Much easier with a small fine blade, particularly on a fellow hind etc.
    Enough to make me think about getting one but have not seen them commonly available.

    Doesn't look like 5" blade but is a double folder with scalpel blade one end

    That's a Havalon Titan.
    I found these on eBay. I bought a Jim Shockey version in a soft case with spare blades, (inspired by this thread)
    It's in the post but the price ranges between $50+ to retail of around $70 our dollars are similar, close enough .

    Ilmy mate is a Deer hunter, I know he likes his but not sure on the model he has.

    Steven Rinella aka the meateater uses something like that I have seen it on his show.
