    Suunto Core

Does anyone have a suunto core and know how to work the bloody thing?
I had the button lock off and somehow overnight I have done something to the settings for the compass, now I can't get it to indicate north, it gets around to about 320 degrees and then does nothing like it's locked onto a heading or something? Any suggestions?

Dunno, I thought about getting one but read too many bad reviews about them and bought a Casio Protrek instead. :p

You might have set a heading on it accidentally, or if its pointing consistently but just offset from north an accidental declination adjustment.

They are a bit tricky to re set if you aren't playing with them all the time.
I only wear mine when Im away hunting ( as mobile only needed usually for time ) so just don't use it enough to be any bloody good at getting it to do what I want !!!

    Suunto Core

They're a great watch. I've had one for years now. The bottom RHS button is both the illumination and lock button. Push and hold for about 5 sec locks it. Compass needs to be calibrated as others have mentioned too.

To recalibrate it do I have to take the battery out and start it again like when it was new? I fumbled my way through that process ok but can't figure out how to re calibrate without removing battery

No. Didn't you get a manual?

You probably haven't thrown out the manual. Normally these watches come with just a quick-start guide in the box and you need to download the full manual from their website. All the manuals are available free online, Ryan. Just go to the main Suunto website and download the relevant manual for your watch.

I think this might be what you're needing: Suunto Core Support

    Merry Christmas.
