Anyone got bad things to say about this thing? Torpedo7 Mamaku 2 Person

Dont do heaps of overnighters so wanting something on the lower cost side (will pick this up for sub $200) not super heavy

That's a pretty sharp price. The Macpac equivalent would be the Apollo and will cost about twice that but be only a little lighter.

There are only three types of people in this world. Those that can count, and those that can't!

Yeah I have a work promo which puts it at $180. Not sure I should pass that up

I have the 3 person version. We have only used it once but did the job, though we didn't have any rain that weekend.
The outer fly was touching the inner tent one frosty morning, but I think if we used the other holes for the pole ends (there is a choice of two) and set it up in daytime instead of by headlamp we would have avoided that.
I got the foot print to go with it, just had to wait for it to go on sale (tent itself was 60% off).

I can certainly see how T7 is tempting but personally I'd spend around same money at Aliexpress and wait 2-3wks for delivery. Why? T7 version is 3.2kg and the Naturehikes (& other clones) 2kg or less.

I've a marmot catalyst 2p that that looks similar to. Its a good tent but not a 2 person one unless you both are skinny and like to leave all your gear outside this looks to be the same based on the dimensions.

Have a look at this one. A sound little tent with a robust floor. Nothing worse than dampness creeping up from below.

If you have a garden and a library, you have all you need. Oh, and a dog, and a rifle
