I spend a lot of time in the bush doing trap lines - it can be slippery in the winter - I never go anywhere without my third leg - amazing how much extra ground control you can get with a strong pole - mine is a straight tube but a lady that works with me uses one that is adjustable - it still seems to be quite strong. I can bash the side out of regrowth beside tracks. Get them from somewhere like Mitre10 for about $10 - but I wouldn’t take it while I have a rifle!

Paid about $15 on Aliexpress for one to use in a tent and quite like it. Think its under 200 gms and seems pretty well made. Good for river crossings as well.
