    Ultralight camp chair

Hey. I'm looking at getting a UL camp chair as I'm now old (officially, my daughter's have told me) and I'm running with it.
Looking at the Helios Zero or similar. I'll still carry it so it needs to be our and fit in a pack. Any suggestions or recommendations?

go cheap and replace - you may get two years or four or one they all break at least if you only pay $40 and it lasts two years great but pay $150 it may only last two years ( ask me why ) I have yet to see one I would call robust

Cheap and light unfortunately are not mutually inclusive.

And I recently git one of these sub $30 macpac stools for hunting on the Westcoast
Put it in side pocket of day pack and it was great for sitting listening for roars without being on the sodden ground
Spent 1 hour on it in pouring rain and it made it bearable
If you're comfortable you stick at it and concentrate and get your stag

I would not do this unless you like sitting on the ground.
I got a Torpedo 7 knockoff of the Helinox didn’t even last 2 days of a 5 day hunt. Im 80 kg, so hardly pushing the limits of the chair.
Luckily a few cable ties and a stick of Manuka kept me off the ground.
Sprung for a Helinox and never looked back.
Mate bought a macpac variation of the same chair, and his croaked this year.

Yes was meant to write Helinox. The high back appears to add little weight and can be bought locally so was looking to run with that. It will likely be "work furniture" so easy to fund

I have the Helinox chair one xl and it’s great except the legs sunk into soft ground, I’ve bought some “frogs feet” for it but haven’t used it with them yet. If you’re a little smaller than me then zero high back is great @Puffin.

I am pretty sure I have a similar one to the Pic above. I can post pics after football tomorrow. I was given it so I can give it away or trade for folding or fixed blade knife for my youngest son.
