Thread: Unleaking Boots

I just checked my boots and the lighter parts look like some synthetic woven material. I s'pose I should spray that part with a spray like what some of you have suggested. I might also go the beeswax after Pengy's comment

Nothing Fucks a leather boot like being wet and walked in for days on end. Except maybe drying out the boot too fast.
I've tried the sprays and creams that are spost to be goretex or whatever liner friendly but they all wipe off in a very short time walking in grass,Tussok etc.
Figured Bugger it after watching a mate put a whole tin of snow seal on his very expensive flash boots before a trip and have been using either that or Dubbin ever since with no issues.

I should have mentioned that the guy who told me a bout Dubbin eating some modern stitching materials is in the canvas and upholstery business. He also warns off using Inox anywhere near stitching on boat canvas.

Nikwax is pretty boss, never liked Snoseal due to needing to bake your boots to get it to rub in. I don't think there's any fixing a non-waterproof boot
