Thread: Cork for under Reed on single Reed duck calls

Anyone know of a source of rubberised cork in NZ for single Reed calls like this or this

bottle of wine and a sharp knife with LOTS of patience perhaps...
anything can be bought if have enough $$$$
most things can be made if you have enough patience

It 3 or 4 mm thick Rubberized cork I used in cap and ball revolver wads.

if above no good try an op shop salvation army shop some of the older place mats were a rubberised cork sometimes see them for sale and dirt cheap

@Barry the hunter I had to laugh when I read comment as these "placemats" live in our caravan.
Shuks Engineering had a large scrap bin I picked over for wad material [Felt cork neoprene etc]

yes the old Shuks engineering - only place in Naki I could get leather for knife sheaths - stocked it for washers in the older water pumps
