I've been using them for a couple of seasons both the GHG Full Body and the GHG Shells.
Shells are lightweight and positive you can stack them inside each other, the stake supplied with the Shells doesn't really perform, needs a supplementary pipe to fit inside to make them more stable. I would go the Full Bodies
New Year when Cabelas, Rogers etc have their sales is the time to buy.
Thanks for that. I take it the shells still look the goods though ? Do they move around a bit too much without the extra support ?
Sure do it seems the stakes aren't long enough to get a firm hold and they start getting a lean on looking unrealistic - solution where I shoot is push a piece of alkathene pipe into the ground and drop the stakes inside that
Nathan have a look around locally for some full bods. H&F were doing harvester packs for close( or cheaper) to what you could import. The odd Hammils store might have FA's that are worth checking out also. Retail ain't humming so you should be able to turn the screws on decoys at this time of year anyway, otherwise what Bonecrusher says about US sales is spot on.
I've used GHG, FA, and Flambeau. All have their good and bad points. Main things are to check you like the coloration, see if the motion/ stand systems will do what you require in the situations you require. Expensive decoys require care which = bags. Not all bags are created equal.
im using FUD's, seem to be doing the job 4 me, down side is no movement
I would have to agree with Tim what ever decoy you end up getting make sure in use a proper slotted bag to carry them.
Just brought one of those harvester 12 packs with the carry bag. Should be able to sneak in another 24 before opening:thumbsup:
Where'd you buy from?
cabelas.com
That'll cost a bit. $259 + 45% for freight converted to NZ dollars is well over the $400 GST threshold.
You'll likely get hit with the $37 customs fee and GST making it close to $590?
Would have been better to wait for the sales or buy from NZ at $500.
Na wasnt that much. Paid for it last night . With promo code $420 odd landed. You can ask them to adjust the invoice too.
Must have been one heck of a promo, I've only seen the $20 off ones recently. Haven't had any luck with them adjusting the invoice in the past. What promotion did you get it through?
Sorry Mike I just checked again. $477 landed including all shipping and Tax. Bit of a saving and neither of the 2 stores I checked with had them in stock.
i have aset aside for me in a local shop. higdon motin full body feeders. they retail for 229 a 6pack, hes giving me 25% off
, $175 for 6, thats under 30 each.
i dint think thats to bad, concidering the freigt from the us
Would there be any chance of getting the same deal ? sounds pretty good to me, would like to collect a few good ones before it all sparks up again.

Cheers, Red.

I have been looking high and low, can't decide which to get. Cabela's havester pack comes to $400 USD so looking at H&F Avery over sized full body havester pack decoys.
Then I found these Duck Decoys Hard Core Full Body Combo 6 Pack | Trade Me . Has anyone used these or know of how they look etc? get 2 of these for $300
I cant find any size info on the Avery OS full body decoys.....?
Why did ya put tops on ya ladys Baz............did ya get told off:P I warned ya;)
Those full body mallards look the go alright but are steep in the price range.
They look cheep Baz go for it.
The bra's on the avitar was'nt me, looks to PC now.
I have just clicked, GHG decoys are Avery GHG decoys. Found the sizes, alot bigger than the Hard Core full bod's
I would'nt mind the larger decoys and the bag included for $500 from H&F. buy once cry once I quess.

flick thru a few pages and have a look at the higdon full body active/feeders $159.99
Spoiled for choice: Avery GHG, Harde Core, Fianl Approach, Higdon and the list goes on.
Whats the best?
Leaning towards Higdon full bod's
go with the higdons bro
The paint is a lot more robust on the Higdons.
Higdons it is then, Can the upright full bods be set up to look like a sleeper/resters? I assume Higdon do not have such a decoy set up?
