Because fashion is important and you have to look good while doing what you do. It's also important to record yourself looking good on social media. If you are having a shit time then just pretend you are having a awesome time so your friends who view the photos on social media feel envious of the good time you are pretending to have.

I have the TG Real Thang in translucent chartreuse
And a GK Canuck in clear but with the very attractive broken in guts in green that you can see through the clear body of the call.
And a TG Triple Crown in sparkle blue.

Bad Grammar is the DVD you need. Even if you can make the simple honk on a short reed (which puts you ahead of most people) Bad Grammar will teach you all the other notes.

Cheers for the advice! Has anyone tried the Buck Gardner Canada Hammer?
Been watching a few youtube videos about basic goose calling and starting to get a good idea of what to do.

Canada hammer is ok but I would personally put my money into something else unless I could get it for under $50.

Righto cheers I found it for $59. Have you ever tried the electronic callers as a back up? We have a couple lying around home but I'm not the biggest fan of them for the ducks and plus I enjoy doing a bit of calling

wouldn't have one on my arse for a pimple
ecallers are for part timers with no patience to learn or even try to learn the basics[ shooters not hunters.]
natural or stained woods a colour to as is clear apparently.
haven't tried buck garders goose calls but on his vids I reckon they sound squeaky.

I have a hammond rip duck call and love it but I'm currently a poor uni student that has spent to much money on duck shooting gear this season so I can't really justify spending the money on a hammond flute or goose call? What other good wooden goose calls are out there?

not many to be honest .
I started with a Hammond goose flute loved it but after a mate started making short reed calls went to those.
tried to go back but found after many years smoking didn't have the puff for it.
the power clucker seems to be just as versatile as any short reed and the beauty of goose hunting now is its year round even if a bloody sight more difficult.
don't sweat the small stuff unless your going comp mad find one call that works for you and perfect what you can on it.
hail cluck double cluck works alright for me usually.
