that photo is looking out towards the one where Im standing with the dogs....its a bit to the left of screen...can just see water in distance over the green bit of bank
for scale...if you zoom right in,you can see our terrano on left hand side of that last picture. taken from on what is normally an island and facing back towards the west...almost looking at the north opuha/fox peak area

Only problem this year is that its high tide at 6.53 am and when the tide drops I cant retrieve birds as the mud is waist deep.....Hopefully will have my limit before the water leaves and can get out of there and back to the bach.....otherwise I am stuck till the tide comes in....at 7pm!!!

Pegged on Thursday. Gave my 85 year old Beretta S2 it's pre season service this morning. I use falcon and eley bismuth in it. Choked full and half, it deals to duck parries and canadas no problem. Fit is perfect. Love the old thing. Ive had jabalu, brownings, mirokus and benellis but this old trooper tops them all. It was salvaged from a wrecked Italian truck by our troops in Libya WW2 and brought back to NZ. Must have been almost new at that time.

No shortage of water down here.
Except I'm shooting chicory paddocks for opening with no water nearby so I'll be back to old fashioned shot.
Plenty of birds around especially Parries so we will see how it plays out
