    waikato advice

    Hey guys, just moved to the waikato on monday, usually shooting on private land in the naki
    looking on advice on where to go and look for ducks? obviously i have missed the boat a bit on opening, keen to go out for a walk or a boat ride and look for some ducks, is karapiro any good?

    yeah not a fan of the local beer and that duck pond is hard to get your decoys set up right there i find just a loaf of bread works best,
    other than that any other advice or points in the right direction

    Cant imagine karapiro being a legal place to shoot but i could be wrong. There are lakes at huntly and ohaupo that mates shoot on otherwise i believe you can float the waikato river out of town but again youd have to make some calls to doc or f&g and check as ive never done it.
