    Beach fishing South Island

Wife and I are heading down the South Island for 3 weeks in October to do a look around.

Is it worth taking our surfcasting rods and where would we go?

Yep it is always worth it.
Any beach is worth a try if conditions allow.
Might get a fish you have never caught before.....elephant fish, moki etc.
Lovely way to spend a few hours
