    Entry level surfcast rod

Hello all. I've been searching online at entry level surfcast rods around the $100 mark and have come up with a few budget friendly contenders but unsure of the quality between them. Thoughts?

(Information on these rods is very very limited)

(most expensive and the Okuma has a higher drag rating)

Just been down this road cant remember prices. Got mrs a killwel set up from marine deals. Then about 3 weeks later the rings started falling off my 25 yr old okuma rod so I got another okuma rod from fish city....

I'm quite sold on the Okuma, will have to join Burnsco club to get the sale price even though I won't be buying much from them in future.

Not much difference in quality between them, warehouse ones not quite as good.

Okuma you can get new rod sections so shouldn't cost as much if you need a new tip.

10 years warranty on all Shimano reels so you know it will last (provided you rinse it in freshwater and oil/grease it.)

I've got a 14' 2 piece surfcaster I got at the Warehouse about 20 years ago. I've replaced the butt section with a broomstick twice and repaired and replaced rings as I broke 'em. it always worked, caught (and still catches) a ton of fish.

Don't get hung up on specs.

    14 foot for reach.

Use the included reel until it breaks, worry about a better reel then.

You won't catch fish until you get a bait/lure in the water.
