Glad too get out of that City what a rush for the hillbillies
We then headed further North and met up with Chris.
Had a look at some rivers but no luck cause of recent rain.
Chris set up some surfcasters for us.

And he loaded a few rods for the young fellas.

Morning Dundee, Its a pity you farmers have to take your holidays at this time of the year. The fishing is quite difficult as you probably found.
How did you get on handling the yacht around the Tauranga Marina. Wicked rip through the berths isnt there. The hardest marina to manoever in and out of we found in all our travels.

Once I nearly cleaned up the fuel berth, my wife in all the pandomonium forgot to throw a hitch over the bollard so I could use it as a spring and nearly got towed off the jetty as in panic I opened the throttle and took of out of the place.

    Big tides at the time.

My good ole hometown (well Te Puke actually) spent a good amount of years fishing off the rocks at leisure Island, and a good amount of time fishing Otamarakau, Kaituan cut etc. Dunno if you went near Hewletts Road in the mount on your travels but where the BP truckstop and diner is there is an old house behind the bushes, I spent the first year of my life in that house when my father was a mechanic for NZ lumber company many moons ago.

Small world aye, my parents owned the shell service station on the corner of SH2 and welcome bay road up till 1986 when they sold it back to its original owner.
