I will ask the obvious question, aren't the Poor Knights a Marine Reserve these days?

yes it is a marine reserve but we fish outside the boundary on reef structures over 100m deep we fished there today so we could be sheltered from the southeasterly swell in nice calm weather otherwise it would be shit conditions everywhere else
