Lazy man's fish today...on the water around 0930..
No mates so took the dog.
Cold barstard easterly smashing up some chop for a start.
Dropped a longline in shallow to hopefully avoid the spiky dogs and target gurnard.
Headed up the coast to get my 2 cod.
Headed up the coast further to target gurnard.
Got 5 bloody crackers the biggest of which was on @joessmo lure!
Pulled longline for spiky dogs, gumboot shark and 4 more epic sized gurnard.
Picked off a few goats from the boat.
One was handy....but being solo and at the very top of tide I was close to a cockup recovering it as the swell tried to chuck the boat up the beach beam on and swamp it.
All in all a good day out with flounder dog.

I shot the goat.
What a price....That `s why people are accusing the big supermarket chain. That goat is good, to my mind the cooking method should be as slow as possible, two hours at least. I got some dry aged goat meats in my fridge for about 4 months already. Hope this little experiment could be successful.
Btw, the fish I said 60 dollars was not the blue cod I meant.
Look at the knife work on those fillets!! Brings a tear to my eye :)
Was talking about @veitnamcam !!!
No, nice looking filleting job.
Would like to see how you fillet a groper properly - I tend to be a bit wasteful I think, especially with the wings and cheeks.
