    Anyone done it on the coast and can recommend a good charter or private boat?

    If you are not already in contact with the big bad bob I can put you in touch, if he has no plans of a loopy trip at least he should know of the local charters.

    One big issue it seems with these expeditions is you're totally at the mercy of the weather. Even if you crossed off ten days, there's still no guarantee you'll be able to give it a proper go.

    Last BF charterboat I was doing some work on was charging $280 per hour + GST (minimum charter 48 hours) but that has since changed hands and that was 3 years ago.
    That was for up to 6 fisherman per party

    2.5k each for an experience of a lifetime.

    I moaned about doing it for free
    Did spend 3 days so crook I asked them to throw me overboard.
    Truely an amazing experience catching those buggers tho.
    We got 7 and one iirc was over 350kg with the others not alot smaller.
