    Dunno how to rotate the image sorry. Sadly , salmon fishing in NZ isn’t like it used to be.

    1985 I think A330driver. Back when you wore black rubber Skellerup marathon thigh waders,lol.I was a bit younger then. Weighed 39 and 3/4lb at Theo's fish shop 12 hours later , so I like to think it was 40lb. Caught it on a 6ft baitcaster with 20lb Maxima line up by Griggs rd on the mighty Rakaia.

    lol… yeah mate .. timeline you have correct…..I was at Lincoln uni in 77… we fished the Rakaia on many occasions… and caught several samies..no cell phones then always on the piss… looking to see if I have any photos of those days…. Standby

    Yes, remember those waders. Thought all my dreams had come true when my feet were finally big enough (with double sox) to fit them. No more gumboots and wet feet all morning
