    Santoft beach sutfcasting

    I managed to get out to the beach with the family on saturday. I quickly chucked the surfcaster in the car and found a few rigs and sinkers.
    The sea was flat a calm, I managed 3 kahawai in 7 casts which is much better than I ever do.
    Smoked some for dinner and also done a raw kahawai with coconut creme, which was very nice.

    My boys thought it was pretty cool aswell.

    I've been there a few times with the surfcaster and got a few Kahawai. Put the kontiki out there and got a few Snapper which was nice
    Fresh Kahawai is very under rated eating. Remember the days when that and Trevelly were only used for bait. I'm more than happy getting them these days
