    Shooting fish in a barrel

Baldbobs gonna give me shit for this.

Took the kids out for a salmon..................at a salmon farm!

    List of excuses

Iv never caught a fresh water fish "properly" and wouldnt know were to start.

Kids need near instant action or get bored and grumpy.

    We like salmon.

All the fish in the "fishing" pond are 1.5-2kg, take em back and they fillet them for you and smoke or sashimi if you wish.

Fry trying to get upstream in one of the ponds.

Tame eel next door at bencari farm, great place for kids.

Can think of a couple of adults I know with the same trait

National Trout Centre near Tongariro also has some casting ponds for kids, don't think they are open year round...

Brilliant VC. Great to see kids and family having fun. Laughed at your daughters expert knowledge as to why your son couldn't pull the rod up. "the fish is pulling the string" You are going to have trouble mate.

It is actually really good to see VC. Made me smile at the memories that it stirred up.
