I have an ulstron scoop net which is easy to move through the water and i have used homemade set nets with cheaper synthetic netting in the past which worked but weren't particularly durable would be interested to get some more feedback on the various socks
Looks to be the same size but slightly different. Hoops behind mouth look larger.

I bought mine off a mate that sells them. He told me I would be replacing it in 2 yrs.
I don't scoop anymore. I do way better pot netting for less effort.

I think if you are careful in where you site the net they should last as good as any other.
I often tinker with mine directing flow depending on how the fish are running.
We get a lot of sludge from the powder factory in the Hoki that will clog your net but you can use it to your advantage to shift the current at the mouth to where you want it.
For a cheap net it works well for me and if I wreck it shifting it during tides etc it won't hurt the pocket as much.
