A few smelt on a hook and that trout would have been 'the catch'

I had my last go for the season yesterday getting around half a kilo, I only got out 3 times 2.25 kg, 0 and .50 of a kilo so an ordinary season for me but didn't really get the time to go enough.

I pulled my stand out early between floods with still a week to run.The wx on the coast this month has been puss with no runs in Sth Westland to speak of and yet more shyte wx forecast thru to season end.A game of two halves,as September went strong.Happy hunting to those sticking it out.

Yeah, pretty toast here too. The mighty Waikato has had one of its worst years since about 1991. After 3 very good years it was time for us to drink our medicine.
With river up after recent rains I don't see any last-minute redemption.
