    GODZone Adventure Race

Who's watching the dots this week?
    https://godzoneadventure.com/live/tr...AxUlT9hJUh3Hg#

Looks like a great course. Some tough stages over the 615km. They'll be trekking, MTBing, rafting and kayaking through some good hunting country. Looks like there are already differing route choices being made

Yeah a bit of navigation tactics going on there.
Great to see how many younger folk are in this year and cracking along, keeps the sport thriving

Looks like the brave choice isn't giving any advantage. Well not yet anyway. Maybe less elevation gain and it's less punishment on legs? Doubt it though as a lot of sidling. Possibly looser underfoot too

Some interesting route choices going on at the front, i know how steep that side of Mt Patriarch is and the youngsters are hooning straight up it.

Team Rab has chosen a very roundabout route, sure there's a road up that valley which they could run but its pretty long.

Chris Forne's nav is usually on point hes considered to be one of the best. Its great to see that team being challenged by the young ones, its a long way back to third!

Shout out to mot high. In the mix for a top 5 finish if they can keep it up

Almost 3 days of near constant racing and only 15-30mins gap

If you're not only this page already it's the best one for Godzone commentary https://www.facebook.com/arlivecoverage

I was down at the canyoning section of the course on the Wairau river at mid day. They finish a MTB leg, abseil down through Ronans Well (which takes a bit over an hour) and then jump into the kayaks off down the Wairau. It's started raining down here so conditions aren't great.

Motueka High team starting the kayak leg down the Wairau. They are doing amazingly so far.

I reckon it is gunna be closer at the end of the packrafting than it was at the start.

Know doubt that wrong ridge mistake last night cost the Fair Youth team a fair wack but they are not going away! Full power to them plenty of course left (the last pack rafting stage in the sounds looks brutal)

Its gunna be tough for anyone behind Mot high to make the 1am Wed TA6 cutoff....

    Epic course !!

Fear youth was quicker on the last packraft so gap could well be closing on RAB.

Total of 15,890m of elevation gain. That's a lot of vertical even when not carrying bikes or pack rafts! Will youth be enough to overcome years of experience in the legs of RAB when the vertical adds up on stage 8?

As usual great photos and video. NZ sure has some special country.

@kukuwai Nydia is a very tough technical MTB track too, especially at night with backpacks and fatigued.

(FYI I completed chapter 5 and Rameka track at night in rain was not much fun!)

@kukuwai Fear's tracker hasn't updated for more than half hour however based on CP looks like RAB have more than 2hr lead now.
