    Gidday all.
    Found a sweet bivvys in the weekend. Does anyone have to the contact details of the gents what built it?

    I don't blame DOC. There are some neat little bivies that should be left, but the majority are pigs nests and a disgrace.

    Tong Forest is full of them - even concrete floors. DOC have started to leave a message on them for the people to pull them down and take their materials or they will destroy them.
    Some of them are flash - but they are a blot on the landscape. Not to mention the chain sawed bush clearing for them.

    Plenty won't agree with me, but that's my view.

    agree Tahr- ive stumbled into some shitty rat holes in the Kaimanawa .......disgusting- blue warehouse tarps flappin round the place.....

    If it's the same one I stumbled onto many yrs ago it's a beauty. Certainly a nice place for winter shelter.
